The BASIC Program: Brothers and Sisters in Christ
Brother and Sisters in Christ
BASIC is a four-week experience for 15 and 16 year olds (Brookwoods: Bear cabin and Deer Run: Impala cabin). During their month at camp, campers will participate in co-ed team building activities, including an overnight canoe trip on the Saco River in Maine. During “week 3” of the four-week session, the Bears and Impalas participate in “BASIC week” where they spend three days doing initiative and leadership activities.
Highlights include elements on our low and high ropes course. The later part of BASIC week they divide into 3 co-ed groups and complete a three-day hike in the White Mountains. This program is limited to the oldest 12 boys and 12 girls. Priority is given to four-week campers. There is no extra cost for this program.
