How to Prepare for Camp 2021

Summer Camp at Brookwoods, Deer Run, and Moose River Outpost is right around the corner and there is a lot to accomplish, whether you are a parent, camper or staff member! We are diligently getting the facilities and camper programs all buttoned up and ready for the start of camp. Staff will be arriving in 20 days for training, and then campers arrive two weeks after that! We are very excited for a long-anticipated summer at camp!

As a parent, it can be daunting sending your child away for a week, two weeks, or even four weeks! Maybe it is your first time sending your kids away, maybe it’s the second or third! Regardless, it can be a challenge knowing how to best prepare for that long period of separation, whether for the child or parent! (Maybe you are looking forward to some downtime at home!) Additionally, you may have questions about how to pack for your child while they are away at camp, or how to prepare them for any dietary needs they may have. Or as a camper, you may ask, “What is the schedule like?” or “What does communication with my parents look like while I am away?” Your best source of information is the camper handbook that answers many of these questions for both parents and campers.

At Christian Camps and Conferences, we strive to meet the needs of parents and campers and we are aiming for success! So if you have any further questions that could not be answered from the Handbook or Resource Videos please give us a call at (603)-875-3600. We are happy to talk with you about camp and what we anticipate the summer of 2021 will look like.

If you are curious about our COVID-19 practices for this upcoming summer, we will be conducting parent Zoom Meetings on June 1st at 11:00AM EST, and 7:30PM EST. If your campers are registered for camp, you will receive a link a day or so prior to the gatherings. The last and most important way to prepare for camp is to pray! Pray for your children, and pray for the staff that is going to be serving your children. Pray that they may be filled with the Holy Spirit and that Christ would transform many lives this summer!
