A Letter From The Executive Director

When you think of your days at camp, what memories come to mind? Breakfast cookouts at Inspiration Point? Uncle J.J. leading worship? Krazy Karnival? Climbing Boundary Bald? Hopefully, you are transported back to long, warm days spent in the natural beauty of New England, gaining appreciation for the majesty of God’s creation, growing deeper in relationship with Jesus, and building friendships for a lifetime.

When Dr. Laurence Andreson and his wife Dagmar first purchased 110 acres of land on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, it is hard to imagine that they could have anticipated the long-term impact their investment would have on future generations of children, teenagers, and adults. Seventy-five years later, thousands of individuals have participated in retreats and conferences on our properties, in addition to over 200,000 campers who have been directly impacted through summer programs at Brookwoods, Deer Run, and Moose River Outpost.

Here at Camp, our aim has always been to foster vibrant Christian communities located in awe-inspiring outdoor settings where young people are spiritually transformed through Christ-centered relationships. As we look forward to the next seventy-five years, our mission is more critical than ever before. In a culture that is filled with conflicting philosophies of how to live well in an increasingly multicultural and pluralistic society, we believe that the historic Christian faith reflects God’s truth. We desire for Camp to be a place where youth encounter Jesus in a real and tangible way, grow in their understanding of a Christian worldview, and gain life skills that will help them flourish in any community. In addition to our thriving summer programs, our facilities offer a place of retreat, sabbath, and rest for New England area churches and Christian ministries who create communities of their own with off-season retreats and conferences.

While our methods have changed over the years, our goals have stayed the same. It is a privilege to serve with and for you,

Tim Nielsen
