Winter Reunion 2021
Greetings Brookwoods and Deer Run families,
I am writing this blog to let you know about this year’s Winter Reunion. Due to COVID, things need to be different and we are running a “Family Winter Reunion.” This retreat is for families with children of all ages. Much like our summer Winnipesaukee Weekends, we are looking to provide a similar experience this New Year’s.
The dates are December 31st thru January 2nd. Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 8:30 PM on Thursday 31st. Check out will be 4:00pm Saturday January 2nd. Click here to register for the retreat.
The holiday season tends to be busy for most families, finishing up school, putting together a meal schedule, figuring out how to get your gift giving accomplished, or coordinating family Zooms! We would like to encourage families to take advantage of this unique opportunity to escape to Camp Brookwoods and Deer Run for a winter getaway. Book a cabin or private accommodations for your family and forget about cooking meals because we have that covered! Additionally, we are providing programs that we believe your family will enjoy.
- New Outdoor Ice Rink
- Tubing
- Snow Shoeing
- Gingerbread House Building
- Fireworks
- Worship
- Board Games
- Movies in the Theatre
- Campfires with hot chocolate, and hot apple cider
We are also going to celebrate New Year’s with an awesome fireworks show and plenty of good food. You may participate in as much or as little of the activities as you desire. If you are looking for even more activities, Gunstock Ski Resort is 25 minutes away from us, in addition to many great winter hiking locations! Trust me, there is plenty to do up here in the winter!
Most importantly, we are going to spend time together worshipping God and being in His word. This year’s theme of “Back to the Future” provides us with a fun framework of themes and lessons. If you were to travel into the future and see yourself 15-20 years from now; whom would you find? Would you be excited about the person you have become? Would you be proud of the life and legacy you have built? We’ll have plenty of time to unwrap lessons from the movie “Back to the Future.”
Once again, I hope you can join us for this year’s Family Winter Reunion; you will not want to miss it! Click this here to register and to find out more details ! As always, please reach out to me if you have any further questions! Oh, and please feel free to invite other families, even if it’s their first time to visit camp!
