Summer Camp Update: June 30th

Tags Moose River Outpost

evening activityAfter a rainy incoming day and a cool start to the session, the sun is shining through this Tuesday on an active and happy Moose River Outpost. Camp activities are in full swing!

On a brief walk through camp, I noticed not one, but two bulls-eyes on my way past archery! I also noticed our mountain bikers heeding the first rule of mountain biking (Which is, of course, to bring snacks). Elsewhere in camp, we had paintball in action with campers donning their masks and helmets for games of capture-the-flag. Others were out on the lake for waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, and stand-up-paddleboarding, among other things. Simply put, we’re busy out here in all the best ways.

Last night’s evening activity was Ski-ball, a camp favorite featuring a combination of throwing, blocking, and catching everything from footballs, to swim noodles, Frisbees, and soccer balls. Tonight the campers will be playing Earthball; a series of games featuring two balls measuring over 6 feet in diameter!

Camp life is great. We’re thankful for good weather, new friends, and the start of something amazing here at MRO.
