Areas of Need

There is never a shortage of “needs” at a summer camp! From general “keep the lights on” kinds of needs to Scholarship funding for bringing more kids to camp, we depend on the generosity of our ministry partners. The Annual Fund helps us meet these needs and cast a vision for how Camp Brookwoods, Deer Run, and Moose River Outpost can best serve future generations of campers. Feel free to keep browsing for more details on these areas!

My gifts, your gifts, no matter the size, will help capture many, many more campers’ hearts for the Lord. The eternal impact of God’s work at Camp Brookwoods, Deer Run, and Moose River Outpost will echo in our world and around the campfire in Heaven.

Types of Funds

General Fund

We do our best to budget for ongoing maintenance expenses at camp; however, budgeting for the unexpected is more difficult. Dishwashers malfunction, equipment wears out ahead of its time, floors need to be painted, new bunk beds need to be purchased, and inclement weather damages property. A donation to the General Fund helps with these kinds of needs by giving camp the flexibility to utilize the funds where they can make the most impact. Thank you for considering a donation to this ministry!

Inspiration Point Endowment Fund

Currently, we have a limited scholarship budget, which is funded by annual donations and earnings from the Inspiration Point Endowment Fund. A gift to the Scholarship Fund or to the Endowment Fund brings kids to camp and allows us to continue our legacy of recruiting a broad array of young people—one that reflects the world we live in. Hear what our campers and staff have to say about the power of camp and what the scholarship program means to them by clicking here.

Scholarship Fund

We desire to maintain the highest possible camp experience, a costly goal. At the same time, we want to make the camp experience accessible to a broader group of campers and their families. The cost of tuition (the true cost of a camper attending camp) is burdensome for some families, including many of our alumni. That is why every summer, over 300 (about 1/3) of our campers receive financial assistance to attend camp. We love saying “YES” to those families who need that kind of help. Witnessing our campers growing in Christ is our greatest reward and most important outcome. We know this is what camp parents desire for their children.
