Season’s greetings campers!

Have you been missing camp lately or maybe just your camp friends? Well then you should join us December 31st thru January 2nd for the annual Brookwoods & Deer Run Winter Reunion! We are BACK after having to postpone reunion for a year! There is no better way to bring in the New Year then to be at camp! This is a unique opportunity for you to return to camp mid-year, be encouraged in your walk with Christ, connect with camp friends, and catch up with your counselors!

We are excited to have our very own, Deer Run Camp Pastor, Gwen Reed, joining us as this year’s retreat speaker! The theme this winter is titled “BOLD” coming from 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” We will dive into what it looks like to live a “BOLD” life for Christ, and how it is defined in scripture . Timothy charges us that the spirit God gave us does not make us timid or afraid, but rather it equips us to have power, to have love, and to have self-discipline. My desire is that you come away from this retreat having the confidence to live out your faith not in fear, but in boldness as God intended!

As always, there will be fun activities including our new outdoor ice rink (bring  your own skates!), broomball, tubing, cardboard sled building, a lip sync, crazy games, plenty of great food and snacks and a New Years Eve Party to kick the whole weekend off! We hope you can join us for an awesome weekend together at camp. This is one you will not want to miss! Register below!

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

WHAT TO EXPECT: Fun, friends, and fellowship! The reunion is a wonderful spiritual retreat where campers can reconnect with their friends and counselors. Campers will have the opportunity to tube down Deer Run’s back hill, snowshoe around camp, make crafts, play games, roast marshmallows, and drink a lot of hot cocoa!

REGISTRATION COST: $125 per camper, and it’s open to campers ages 12 and up.

COVID Stuff: Out of an abundance of caution, and to reflect our desire to maintain camp as both a safe and wonderful space, we have decided to update our COVID protocols for the Winter Reunion.

First, we want people to come to camp that are feeling well.  This is not the year to arrive with a cold!
Second, a Negative PCR COVID test will be required of all campers [and staff] within 5 days of arrival for the reunion.  This is the parents [and staff] responsibility to obtain.

If in the 90 days prior to the Winter Reunion, you have been fully vaccinated, which includes the recent booster, or experienced COVID,  you will not need to be tested.    If these situations occurred prior to October 31st, you will now need to get tested.

Please bring proof of testing, vaccination for verification or COVID diagnosis when you come to camp. You can also send it to camp prior to the Reunion.   We will wear masks inside the Dining Hall, unless seated and eating, and at our inside events, including on the bus.
We understand this testing requirement is “new”, and will require some additional effort on your part.   We are sorry to add additional complications at this point of the year, but we are convinced our parents will understand our desire for a safe environment at camp.    We are watching the growing number of COVID cases and we want to be prudent and intentional.
Contact Corey Porter, our Registrar,  at 603-875-3600 if you have any questions, or if you would like to request a cancellation for the event.

WHAT TO BRING: A sleeping bag, Bible, journal, lots of warm clothes, and your toothbrush!

BUS: The bus will be at the Lexington Service Plaza on the north bound side of I-95 off exit 30. The plaza has a McDonald’s and Gulf station. It will leave Lexington at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 31st, and will return around 4:30 PM on Sunday, January 2nd. The first 45 campers to register for the bus will get a seat!

AIRPORT: Flights into Manchester Airport in New Hampshire or Logan Airport in Boston, should be scheduled to arrive between 3:00 and 6:00 PM on Friday, December 31th. Flights should depart between 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 2nd.

Transportation via bus or airport is complimentary and reservations are required. All reservations must be received either by the on-line registration or e-mailing corey@christiancamps.net on or before Monday, December 20th.

We can’t wait for the Brookwoods and Deer Run family to be here for the 2022 Winter Reunion. Camp is truly beautiful in the winter, and we look forward to sharing it with you!
