Moose River Outpost not only provides campers with the time of their lives, but also develops strong young men and women. Our campers spend their time with carefully selected Christian leaders from colleges and universities across the country. Campers at MRO grow in maturity and confidence as they build supportive relationships, learn new skills, and create memories that will warm their hearts and inspire them for years to come.

At MRO, we take adventure seriously. We are serious about providing our campers with uncompromising adventure experiences that can unlock the abounding potential of the wilderness of Northern Maine. Whether it be cavernous rocky cliffs, bubbling rivers, or our own glassy Heald Pond, our guides provide professional leadership, and instruction.

Our staff provides more than just outdoor skills and professionalism.  They also provide something very few organizations can claim to offer: Authentic kindness and friendship. We are committed to caring for campers and sharing the gospel. We find that the best way to start sharing about Christ is by building caring, honest relationships.

You don’t need to be a “wilderness survivor” to love your time at Moose River Outpost. MRO’s programs are designed for teens who want to decide for themselves how to spend their time. If rock climbing is not your thing, just choose kayaking, mountain biking or another adventure instead. Not every moment is spent roughing it either. The best way to top off a day of white water rafting is with a frosty soda at our comfortable camp store.

If your son or daughter is tired of the same old summer camp and is ready for an adventure that both challenges them and excites them, Moose River Outpost may be the perfect camp for them.  If you value the influence of responsible Christian leaders and safe, expert guides then Moose River Outpost is exactly what you're looking for.
