Meet the Staff
Summer Staff:
Moose River Outpost is blessed with some amazing assets. We have 7000 acres of property, piles of white water rafts, dozens of beautifully crafted log buildings, but the thing we are most proud of is the caliber of our summer staff. From our kitchen staff to our raft guides to our cabin counselors, every one is a hard worker, a willing learner, and a diligent follower of Christ. We draw this capable group from leading colleges and universities across the country including Princeton Theological Seminary, Wheaton College, Georgetown, Gordon College, Crown College, and Biola University, and many others. Keep this team in your prayers as they serve our campers and guests with every talent that God has entrusted to them.
Marcus Corey, Adventure Services Director
and Heidi Corey, Bookeeper
Growing up in the western mountains of Maine, Marcus knew from middle school that he always wanted to be a part of a life-changing camp for teens. Moose River Outpost is a dream come true for Marcus and he is excited to see where the Lord is going to take this one-of-a-kind camp. Marcus is the husband of beautiful Heidi and father to not one, two beautiful children, Abishai and Haddaseh. Heidi is very familiar with Christian Camping after growing up in the loving care of a father who is the maintenance man at Trout Lake Camps in northern Minnesota. Heidi is very excited to help Marcus in pursuing what God has called him to at Moose River Outpost. Marcus and Heidi have been at MRO since its first year of summer camp: 5 years now. Any time you visit MRO, its likely that Marcus will be the first one to welcome you. Marcus' warm personality is at the center of the welcoming environment our guests feel every time they walk on property. Seth Coates, Adventure Center Director
Seth Coates is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University, and is an expert in many outdoor disciplines. From alpine skiing to rock climbing to mountain biking, Seth has done it all. The best place to get to know Seth this summer will be between the rapids on the Kennebec River. Along with managing our adventure center, Seth also runs our outdoor outfitter, Windfall Rafting. Seth, and his wife Cathy have been in camping ministry for 4 years now. They have two beautiful children, Mayne and Brayden.
Dale Forester, Maintenance Director
and Julie Forester, Food Service Director
Dale and Julie's first interactions with camp were as "the sugaring family." They have been tapping trees and producing delicious maple syrup on property for 6 seasons now. As if that wasn't enough, Dale serves as our maintenance director, seeing to the needs of our buildings and machinery with the same hard-working attitude he has brought to his farm for years. Julie works alongside him and spends her time producing the delicious food that our campers, staff, and guests enjoy year-round. Dale and Julie also have the distinction of being the proud parents of 7 children. Dale and Julie may not get all the credit, but they are at the core of everything that makes MRO successful on a daily basis. Craig Boronow, Director of Maine Operations
Craig is a product of the Christian camping system and his faith was formed among friends in the rugged mountain trails of the Adirondacks. He is a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois and has worked in camping full-time for 5 years. He loves to rock climb and mountain bike. The best thing about Craig is that he is married to Michelle. Also a Wheaton College grad, Michelle works at camp every summer and has five years of experience in camp ministry and social work.
